1 Blomma London: Monochrome Monday

Monochrome Monday

I have a secret - I am completely freaked out by colour. When it comes to clothes, make up, interiors etc I just don't get it. I love it on other people and often window shop with the view to push myself toward something brighter, something more daring, something less monochrome. But the truth is its just not me and those experiments always end up on ebay.

Inspired by Haim's style at Glastonbury this weekend, which I am currently obsessed with replicating (white white white), here is a celebration of all things colourless with a round up of some of my favorite interiors and how to replicate them.

Black and white can be harsh so add some texture and natural materials to ensure it doesn't feel too clinical

Stripped floorboards, white walls and directional furniture - honestly my favourite thing ever

Even if colour isn't your thing, its easy to add interest with pattern. Think big geometric patterns to achieve the Scandinavian look and compliment with accents of copper and green plants to add a fresh warmth

I love this for a nursery - who says it either needs to be blue of pink? Love the quirky accents to stop it feeling too serious and cold

On the highstreet

Here are some great monochrome products I found on the high street to help recreate the look at home...

What do you think? Could you live in black and white or do you prefer things a little more colourful?
