Championing the Cheeseboard

The best thing about having gorgeous dinnerware is being able to invite people over to enjoy them with you over some delicious food and drink. In the summer, cooking big hearty dinner party meals is a massive chore - it's much more fun to have some people over for a few sips of summery prosecco and some nibbles. My favorite is a cheese board - I am a massive fan of cheese (I mean really, who isn't?!) so its the perfect option to soak up bubbles in the sun.

Luxury cheese brand Castello have paired up with hosting expert Alison Cork to give us some ideas on how to best display cheese if you are planning on having a soiree soon. Alison advises,  “There are so many fantastic ways to present your cheeses so don’t be confined by convention. Remember that once they are out of their packaging you still need to let people know what they are, so signposting is key, but you can be creative with how you do this.”

Here is some inspiration...

Using mini milk bottles to store wild flowers is a great way to decorate your table. Alison has hung hers using string to create a dramatic effect, great to hang from a pagoda in the garden. I also love the use of cake stands for the crackers!

The blackboard markers are great for signposting cheese and love the mismatched boards
