Look of the Week

Good morning! Can you believe its May!? Really struggling to come to terms with how quickly this year is going, but a fast track into Summer can't be too much to complain about. Therefore today I have picked a bright and colourful room which caught my eye on Pinterest this morning which I wanted to share with you.

As you know, I am a fairly colour-phobic person when it comes to interiors but I am trying to get better as a room like this couldn't fail to cheer you up on a gloomy day, or after a particularly manic day in the office. Its so eclectic and fun whilst still being super chic. The white walls and floor help keep the look grounded, but the post cards and black and white photos, along with the quirky accessories and embroidered cushion give a worldy, traveler vibe. It's just fab.

Here are some products on the high-street which would help create this room at home...

  1. Pineapple lamp stand, £428 from House of Hackney (pricey but awesome)
  2. Limited edition prints from UAL for the V&A's Alexander McQueen exhibition (I have the first one already!), £20 each from teh V&A shop
  3. Lille sofa, £499 from Swoon Editions
  4. Cushions both £49 from Toast
  5. Hand embroidered Mexican floor cushion, £95 from Loaf
  6. Sheepskin pouf, £266 from Amara
  7. Textured cotton throw, £60 from Habitat
  8. Wool rug, £99.99 from Zara Home
What do you think? Anything catching your eye?
